Our flat collars lay flat across the neck and have a buckle closure. They are comfortable and suitable for most dogs including puppies. Identification tags and leashes can be attached. These collars should comfortably. Not so tight that it chokes and not loose enough to slip off the neck.. Two fingers should fit between the neck and collar.

This collar is a "hybrid" of a flat and slip chain collar. Unlike a full slip chain, this collar cannot tighten beyond a certain degree. This is an excellent collar for dogs that have head shapes that make it easy to back up and slip out of a traditional flat collar. The limited tightening function will not allow this to happen. This collar has a limited tightening function that gives you more control over your dog. while not becoming restrictive like a slip chain (choke) collar. The best of both types of collars is why this one a favorite of ours.
